A Statement of Policy
For the Protection of Children and Youth

In order to comply with the Archdiocese of Baltimore's policy to provide a safe environment for all children and youth entrusted to the Church's care, it will be necessary for Saint Margaret Parish to obtain a completed Application for Volunteer Services and Consent Form for Criminal History Screening from all those wishing to volunteer in ministry.  These forms are available at the Parish Office or may be downloaded here.

STAND Online Training

The Archdiocese of Baltimore's STAND online training fulfills the Child and Youth Protection Safe Environment Training requirement for all volunteers who have substantial contact with children, as well as all those employed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

The course takes approximately 1.5 - 2 hours to complete. Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will be able to print a certificate of completion. The participant will be asked to enter his/her name as well as the name of his/her parish or school. Note this step MUST be completed in order to receive credit for the course. The screening coordinator must sign and date the certificate of completion when the form is turned in to the parish or school.
