Welcome to Saint Margaret School
"St. Margaret School provides a
Catholic education based upon the belief that each child is a unique creation of God. The school's
main responsibility is to
instill in each child an understanding and
appreciation of the values and ideals of the Catholic
faith in
today's world."
In September of 2001, Saint Margaret Parish opened its NEW
Middle School for grades 6,7, and 8, at the Saint Mary Magdalen Education Center complex. The
present school site on Hickory
Avenue has been expanded to three classes per grade for grades Pre-3 through - 5.
- Accreditation by the
Middle School Association of Colleges and Schools.
- Early Childhood Center uniquely designed to meet the needs of
kindergarten and preschool three and four year olds.
- New middle school with library, portable technology, and gym.
- Full contingent of support services provided by nurses and guidance
counselors on both campuses.
- Computerized progress report and parent access to student grades online.
- Academic program that includes Religion, Language Arts, Mathematics,
Science, Social Studies, and Spanish.
- Instruction in art, music, band, chorus, physical education, library
skills,
and computers.
- State-of-the-art technology on both campuses that includes teacher
laptops,
portable laptop carts for student use, and Internet access
in all
classrooms.
- Challenging curriculum that follows the Baltimore Archdiocesan Course of
Study.
- Update textbooks, technology supported curriculum instruction, on-line library
catalogue, field trips, cultural assemblies, and multiple outreach
activities.
- Extended Day Care program for all grade levels on both campuses.
