Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council is a representative group of parishioners who help make major decisions about the present and future of this parish. This group helps to claifiy the mission, identifies the strengths and limitations of the parish, collaborates in setting realistic goals, assists in reviewing the operating budget, and attempts to identify and meet the needs of parishioners. The pastor consults with the Council on every significant decision affecting the life of the parish and its mission to seek and build consensus on the issues.
The responsibilities of Pastoral Council members include attendance at monthly Council meetings and also a few special Council gatherings, such as the annual retreat, and participation on a committee as Pastoral Council liaison.
The Pastoral Council consists of three appointed members and nine members elected at large for three year terms. Elections are held in May or June each year.
