be made at least six months in advance. Priests of the Parish will
officiate only for registered parishioners.

SACRAMENT OF HOLY ORDERS - A priest fulfills
the mission of the Church through liturgical and sacramental
celebrations, teaching and preaching the Good News, and
upholding the faith of the Church. If you feel that you are being

STUDENTS AND THE SACRAMENTS

Parents have an important role to play in the religious education of their children, particularly in preparing for the sacraments.

Students preparing for the Sacraments must have regular attendance in a Religious Education Catechesis Program (or Catholic school) one year prior to receiving the Sacrament, plus the year celebrating the sacrament.

STUDENT FIRST EUCHARIST PROGRAM

Parents are required to attend a First Eucharist seminar prior to beginning the immediate preparation of their children for this sacrament. Important information about the preparation, registration and format of the celebration is provided at the seminar. The seminar date is published in the bulletin for the month prior to the event. Purchase and completion of a sacrament preparation book is required for this sacrament.

    STUDENT FIRST RECONCILIATION PROGRAM

Group celebrations of this sacrament for children occur during the Fall and in the Spring. Parents are required to attend an Information Seminar prior to beginning immediate preparation of their children for the sacrament. Seminar dates are published in the bulletin for the month prior to the event. Purchase and completion of a sacrament preparation book is required of this sacrament.

    STUDENT CONFIRMATION PROGRAM

Invitations and enrollment forms are mailed in the Fall to students registered in the 10th grade Religious Education program. The first Confirmation gathering is in February of the 10th grade. The Sacrament is celebrated in the middle of 11th grade. Seminars, liturgies, small group catechesis, a retreat and service are components of Confirmation preparation.  Following Confirmation, those Confirmed are encouraged to participate in a year of leadership through the Covenant.
